GRANT CODY

DIRECTOR/SENIOR ARBORIST

Grant is a qualified arborist, completing a Certificate IV and Diploma in Arboriculture at The University of Melbourne (Burnley Campus). With over 25 years of experience, Grant has dedicated his career to working as a climber and mentor within the family business and the arboricultural industry. He is known for his safe, no fuss practical and professional approach to tree work.  With decades of experience collaborating with industry leaders and an education from one of the most renowned and beloved institutes for Horticulture and Arboriculture (Burnley), Grant offers exceptional expertise and a wealth of knowledge.

In his early days from 1999 and 2011, Grant regularly competed in both state and national tree climbing competitions, establishing himself as a successful competitor in the 2006, 2009, and 2010 World Championships.  Nowadays he continues to invest time supporting and coordinating these events with the help of the Treespec team and many other crucial players within the industry.

Growing up and going to school in the Mitchell Shire, Grant prides himself on the hours of work and dedication he provides the local and surrounding councils, supporting and helping them through some tough times with fire, flood and storm events.

TEAM LEADER/SENIOR ARBORIST

In addition to Grant, we employ two senior arborists. Each of our certified arborists holds a Level 3 Certificate or higher and has gained invaluable experience in the field working closely with Grant either through an apprenticeship or as an arborist.

Our team leaders are friendly, skilled, and valued for their team attitude and commitment to ensuring that all work undertaken by Treespec Pty Ltd meets the highest safety standards and is of the highest quality.

OFFICE AND ADMINISTRATION

Grant, even though he would rather be up a tree does still play a large role in the office.

Administration and office staff hold qualifications that include Bachelor of Applied Science (Horticulture), Post Graduate Certificate (Landscape Architecture) and of course many years of experience in the arboriculture and horticultural industries.

APPRENTICE ARBORIST

Treespec always has at least one enthusiastic apprentice under their guidance. We aim to instil valuable core arboricultural training and values within the working environment, to ensure our apprentices can achieve their qualification. Not just to be qualified but to have the ability to work in a safe, refined and efficient manner adding to the already growing number of talented arborists practicing in Australia and Victoria.

CASUAL AND PART TIME

At Treespec we employ a handful of casual staff at different times to assist in the day to day running of Treespec. Whether it’s driving a truck, on the ground with the crew or being the right hand for a crew member that needs it. Our casual and part time staff are invaluable to our business.
